Eat at The Mardale

At The Mardale we have a small kitchen from which we offer freshly prepared, good honest pub food. You can complement your choice with drinks including locally brewed real ales, a good range of quality wines, local gins and low alcohol options.

Our menus change with the seasons and take advantage of locally sourced products when available. They include a selection of sharing plates, starters, mains and desserts. We offer a small children's menu.

In addition to the seven or so mains normally listed, we aim to have a couple of specials available to choose from as sourcing permits. On a Sunday, roasts are served at both lunch and in the evening.

 

Please click on the following links for our current seasonal menus. These are of course subject to change as we roll through the seasons and (locally sourced especially) supplies may not always be available. Daily specials are also listed on the blackboard in the pub.​​​

​​We always encourage booking ahead using this form below to request one of our reservable tables. As we are a small pub, at busy times we can unfortunately only accommodate a very limited number of walk-ins.​

Reservations for an Evening Meal or Lunch are available at the following times (the kitchen closes 60 mins after the last booking time)

  • Mon to Sat Evening - 5PM to 8PM

  • Fri & Sat Lunch (and Bank Holiday Mondays) - Noon to 230PM (extended time!)

  • Sun - Noon to 230PM and 5PM to 7PM

When booking below, first select your booking type (Day + Lunch or Evening Meal) and then appropriate date & time (booking requests within 3 hours of desired time will not work - please call instead).

If you prefer an Evening Takeaway instead, please select any items from the normal Evening Menu and call us on 01931-719202 to order. Wait time may be subject to how busy the kitchen is at that time.
