Burns Night 2024
January 25th, 7PM

In the warm convivial surroundings of The Mardale in late January (likely with wind and rain lashing down outside!), we'll be celebrating the life and works of the Scottish national Bard, Robbie Burns.
We are planning for a fun Scottish themed evening with up to 30 guests enjoying a four course meal, piping in of the Haggis, recital of poems, music, a wee dram to toast and various other traditional elements.

Choices on the menu (prepared by one of our Scottish Chefs, Wully, with support from Head Chef Nick) include Cullen Skink, Black Pudding & Scallops, Steak Balmoral, Scottish Salmon, Cranachan, Whisky & Marmalade Bread Pudding - along with the obligatory Haggis Neeps and Tatties (we also have vegetarian options).

Burns Night will run from 7PM until late and will cost £40 for all four courses including a toasting dram. If you opt for three courses only, the cost will be £30 including a dram. Other wines, ales and spirits will be at normal Mardale prices.

To sign up for the evening and to make your menu selection, please complete the form for each person attending by Friday 19th January at the latest. Places are limited so act now if interested. We reserve the right for minor changes in the menu.
